KIC Leukemia is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in March of 2008 as a living memeorial to Kari Imhoff-Crewe, who passed away in September of 2007 after a six month battle with leukemia.
KIC Leukemia's mission is simple and are based on thoughts and ideas that Kari shared during her short battle with cancer:
To raise awareness of Leukemia's symptoms and treatments.
To raise awareness of the need for potential marrow donors for those fighting leukemia, lymphoma and other life threatening illnesses.
To actively recruit new marrow donors to the National Marrow Donor Registry.
And to provide support to those who are battling leukemia.
KIC Leukemia is a 100% volunteer organization and all funds raised and donated will
